NY is killing me...

I spent last week in New York and I think it’s safe to say that it is the best place I've ever visited.. I'm in love! I went with my university course so that we could do a 'Cool Hunt' search for our new t-shirt brand project, where we had to look for new things that we find interesting or that inspire us. We didn't really get around to
doing many touristy things because we were busy exploring up and coming places!

I spent hours outside the Lincoln Centre (where NY fashion week was being held) taking pictures of guests. I spotted a few magazine editors and some well-known bloggers too.

I met a young artist/designer called Mark Tauriello whilst waiting for a show and I had to take a picture of him because of his amazing sunglasses which had pieces of Lego on them! You can see his work here

While I was in Soho I went to see Chloe Sevigny's new collection for Opening Ceremony. There are so many nice pieces in the collection - the white graphic t-shirts below are amazing and so are the chunky wedged boots. Wish I could afford them all!

East Village was one of my favourite areas because it’s full of cute little cafes, boutiques and vintage shops. 9th Street is a must.

Williamsburg was also one of my favourite areas. It's such a good place to go for shopping. The place reminded me of an old creepy town in America that you'd see in a film except it was filled with lots of boutiques, bars and vintage shops. It's also a good place for street art.

We had such a good week.. I would love to live there!

Also me and my friend Kelsey went to see Nero play while we were there...so so good.

Fashion Week Favourites

Temperley London

Lots of beautiful lace dresses, full of architectural and gothic influences. Blacks, whites, golds and reds. Love.

Acne

The Acne show was full of bright pops of colour mixed with metallics. I like the contrast between the hard and soft materials they've used in every look. Love the leather blazer-like jackets.
